Root-cause medicine, not seven-minute visits

"With over 20 years of patient care experience, my passion lies in treating underlying conditions for true wellness. I focus on prevention and longevity, emphasizing a holistic approach. As a Family Nurse Practitioner with a master's from USC, I specialize in Integrative Medicine. I volunteer at CHOC and am a dedicated member of multiple professional healthcare organizations, committed to advancing healthcare technologies and supporting community health."
Treating patients for over 20 years, Teresa's focus shifted from managing symptoms to treating the underlying conditions driving them — centered on prevention and longevity, including the biopsychosocial side of each patient's health. Alongside her own patient care, she spent more than 16 years as Chief Operating Officer of Pacific Thoracic Surgery, helping advance surgical care alongside regenerative and preventative medicine, before focusing her own practice on integrative and functional medicine in 2018.
Most patients come to Teresa after being told their labs "look normal" — while still living with fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, or low drive. Her practice is built around the idea that normal isn't the same as optimal, and that real change requires time most conventional visits don't allow.
Every new patient starts with a comprehensive hormone and metabolic panel — far deeper than a standard annual physical — followed by a one-on-one review of what the results actually mean for their symptoms and goals. From there, she builds a protocol specific to that patient's biology, then monitors and adjusts it as their body responds.
